ION COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: STILLWATER AREA HIGH SCHOOL

Stillwater, MN, Feb 4th, 2025 – Here at ION, we are committed to fostering curiosity and ambition in the next generation. Recently, ION VP of Business Development and aerospace engineer Tony Giebel visited Stillwater Area High School to lead an engaging session in Ben Straka's astronomy class. His session offered students a rare glimpse into the world of aerospace engineering, and the many pathways to get involved in the industry.

The highlight of the session was an introduction to NASA's Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the Moon and lay the groundwork for future exploration of Mars. Giebel explained the program’s mission to inspire a new generation of explorers and outlined its groundbreaking technological advancements.

Students then engaged in a lively Q&A session, asking about everything from the future of space travel to how they could get involved in humanity’s next giant leap.

With ION's design & manufacturing and Artemis shaping the future of space exploration, community engagement opportunities like these ensure that the next generation is prepared—and inspired—to be part of the journey.
